Are you taking your breath for granted?
You do it all day. As long as you are alive, you are breathing. For most people, breathing is an unconscious action. Your body is programmed to breathe. You don’t have to think about breathing to do it.
What happens when you think about your breath? You can begin to realize the active state of your breathing and the effect it has on each moment. Are you holding your breath? Are your breaths shallow and constricted or are they deep and free?
Almost anything you do in life will be easier and more powerful when you are conscious of how you are breathing. Your breath can calm you. Your breath can increase your physical power. Your breath can channel your emotional power. Coming into relationship with your breath brings you into conscious relationship with all life.
